On Tuesday, 24 November 2026 (Kartik Purnima), Varanasi marks Dev Deepawali — the night when tradition says the gods visit the Ganga, fifteen days after Diwali. All 84 ghats glow with earthen diyas, the Grand Ganga Aarti unfolds at Dashashwamedh, and fireworks and a laser spectacle light the river. The steps are packed; the water is the only place from which you see the full shoreline. 4:00 PM — Reporting
Meet at the confirmed ghat. Ticket check, life jackets, and a short safety briefing before boarding.
4:30–5:00 PM — Cast off

5:00–6:30 PM — Illuminated ghats & Ganga Aarti
Cruise the riverfront and take in the Grand Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh from the water while diyas line all 84 ghats.
6:30–8:00 PM — Laser show & fireworks
Watch the laser spectacle near Chet Singh Ghat and fireworks over the Ganga, with time for photographs.
